Kitchen knife storage can even be put in a drawer. It is usually a piece of wood about half the height of your drawer with long slits in it. Your knives then slide into the slits and sit upright on their side. This is a nice option to someone who wants their knives hidden away or kept out of reach from children (you would have to add a safety latch for the drawer though). Obviously you need extra drawer space for this one.
A side note is that one reviewer mentioned that her new High Efficiency Dish Washer does not dry plastic, so she uses a heated dish dryer for her all of her plastics. Interesting, because now you have to buy another gadget to get something else done? Not too green in my book, but maybe she should just get rid of the plastic anyway and not buy any more. Of course, if its Tupperware, that doesnt count, because I love my Tupperware and could never part with it and I know a lot of other Tupperware lovers that feel the same way.
Our glasses were raised to Mick and his family and the sadness experienced with his passing was celebrated as an emotion that, like all emotions, is better shared. When this can be done in such a supportive, nurturing environment as Heart Kitchen, I think it is incredibly beneficial and brought a definite feeling of closeness and love to the whole group.
